Wago - PFC300
Powerful and Flexible PLC for Modern Control Cabinets
The WAGO PFC300 is an industrial controller distinguished by its performance, flexibility, and future-proof design. Developed for medium to large applications, this PLC offers a robust solution for engineers working on complex automation projects.
With a 64-bit Dual Core processor and 2 GB RAM, the PFC300 is suitable for real-time processing of large amounts of data. This makes it ideal for applications in machinery, process industries, and building automation. Thanks to its open Linux operating system and support for Docker technology, users can easily integrate custom software.
The controller can be programmed via CODESYS V3.5 and supports IEC 61131-3 programming languages, making it manufacturer-independent. In terms of connectivity, the PFC300 supports protocols such as Modbus TCP, OPC UA, MQTT, and EtherNet/IP. Two Ethernet ports and an RS-485 interface provide flexible network integration.
An integrated web server and web-based interface simplify configuration and monitoring. Additionally, the PFC300 is compatible with the modular WAGO I/O-SYSTEM 750/753, allowing expansion with digital, analog, and special modules.
Regarding cybersecurity, the PFC300 offers features such as separate MAC addresses, TLS encryption, and firewall capabilities. This makes it suitable for IIoT environments and remote applications via WAGO Cloud.
The combination of powerful hardware, open software architecture, and extensive protocol support makes the PFC300 a versatile choice for engineers seeking scalable and secure solutions within their control cabinets.

Avebe - A Good Night’s Sleep Thanks to FactoryScanRead moreCompanies often have no clear idea of the installed base of industrial automation in their factories and warehouses. With FactoryScan, itsme can provide an overview of the current status of automation components such as PLCs. Potato processor Royal Avebe uses the results to update their component stock and assess future availability. The scan is intended to reduce the number of hardware-related disruptions Process Control Engineer Johan Wierenga has to deal with. It also helps him sleep better, knowing the stock is up to date.
