Leuze - Always safe!
To protect people around dangerous workplaces, Leuze has been giving substance to the topic of safety and protection for decades with light barriers, safety switches and safety laser scanners. When periodic action is required and mechanical shielding such as fences are not desired, these optical shielding options provide exactly what is needed. Benefit: accessibility and ergonomics at the highest possible level, taking hazards into account, of course.
In recent years, safe radar systems have become available as an addition to the suite of options: without being bothered by (sometimes extreme) dirt, or moisture, radar offers solutions.
Laser scanners use a scanning principle in which infrared laser light is transmitted through the transmitter. If no light is reflected, a ‘safe’ situation would be given. As soon as light is seen in the receiver of the scanner, this means an emergency stop: persons cannot be in danger (taking into account braking distance, response time of the safety device, etc.). This is very effective to ensure, that hands, legs or body are not in the danger zone. There is no distinction between objects and persons.
Safe radar is extremely robust in conditions such as snow, rain, smoke, dirt, oil, etc. Many static objects such as plastics, wood and even concrete are invisible to a radar. Detection depends on material type, speed, size and position. Distinction between objects and persons is possible.
So for completely safe installations now even more possibilities!
Together with Leuze, itsme helps you find a suitable solution to safety issues!

Leuze - Stainless steel series optical sensors for packaging and filling linesRead moreExtreme cleaning in meat and fish processing, at breweries and other filling plants; basically anywhere where hygiene is a major part of a (packaging) process, yet still reliable detection with optical sensors? That's nothing new for Leuze.
-
Leuze - LiDAR-technologyRead moreThe ROD100 can detect objects in a two-dimensional plane using a very compact, built-in plane scanner. This switching sensor is part of a complete family of LiDAR sensors. It recognises one or more objects at distances of up to 25 metres and is also ideal for use as collision protection, for example on overhead cranes. It makes no difference to the sensor whether it is used at the top of a warm factory hall or in a deep-freeze environment.

Leuze - The mini Safety Laser Scanner RSL200Read moreThe smallest scanner ever is now available, about the size of an orange: suitable for the highest safety level PLd/Cat.3/SIL2 and offering optimal ease of use, not only in stationary installations.

Leuze - To the “PIN” point!Read moreIf you’re looking for solutions for a wide range of applications, Leuze is the right place for you. Whether it’s high precision or extreme environmental conditions like cleaning processes, deep-freeze environments, or high-speed switching sensors—Leuze always offers a fitting solution.

Plukon - Scanning for the futureRead moreThe Plukon poultry slaughterhouse in Blokker has installations from all kinds of machine builders and suppliers. Each of these has its own control system and associated components from different brands. This situation has developed over time, with the result that Plukon lost track of the overall picture. When it became clear that many components were now obsolete, the company decided to have itsme carry out a FactoryScan. ‘This gives us more peace of mind and helps us to better plan the replacement of components for the future.’

Silmaco - Site assessmentRead moreKemira Rotterdam produces hydrogen peroxide in various grades at its Europoort site for applications such as water purification, cleaning beverage packaging and bleaching paper. As is customary in the process industry, the installation was lit 24/7 for safety reasons. Kemira felt that there was a smarter way to do this. That is why the company contacted itsme Lighting Technology. ‘In addition to saving energy, we are now also saving on maintenance.’

Damen - Modbus on boardRead moreAt Damen Shipyards Group, field service engineers fly all over the world to provide service and carry out repairs. In addition to mechanics and electronics, communication networks are becoming increasingly important, with Modbus as the standard protocol. To brush up on their people's knowledge, Damen went in search of Modbus training. The shipbuilder chose itsme because of the customisation and flexibility that the industrial service provider could offer. ‘Nowhere else could we find this level of expertise.’ Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
