Leuze - The mini Safety Laser Scanner RSL200!
Compact – Powerful – Flexible
The size of an orange – now the smallest scanner ever: suitable for the highest safety level PLd/Cat.3/SIL2 and offering optimal ease of use, not only for stationary setups.
For mobile applications, such as Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) or Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), the RSL200 not only provides 32 programmable emergency stop and warning fields, but also delivers navigation data. Using fixed structures and objects, the environment is mapped so that vehicles can avoid obstacles and determine their route efficiently. No additional navigation sensors are required! With 2 scanners, all 4 sides are protected.
In addition to the basic functions of personnel protection and navigation (mobile applications), these features prove decisive for many applications:
- Smallest scanner in the world: 80 x 80 x 86 mm – ideal for very tight installation spaces!
- Emergency stop field up to 3 meters, 275˚ – freely programmable via Bluetooth, USB or Ethernet
- Even at a mounting height of 200 mm, still a guaranteed range of 3 meters at 50 mm resolution (!)
- Memory module inside the scanner – no expensive extra memory connector required, yet flexible!
- Diagnostic app – quick insight into your scanners’ status
- Rotatable M12 connector(s) – extremely compact installation
- Smart mounting concept – adjustable vertically and horizontally, and remains intact when replacing the scanner
In short: alongside our powerhouse RSL400, with an emergency stop field of 8.25 meters and many variants, this is an excellent addition for all your scanning applications.
Besides our scanner family, all our other solutions for your machine safety are also available, such as radar, reach-in and walk-in protection, safety switches and interlocks, safety relays and controllers. We can also assess your machine safety through safety scans, risk assessments, overrun measurements, etc.
With our knowledge and experience as a safety specialist, we are happy to help you increase your machine safety! Of course, in cooperation with our long-standing partner itsme.

Leuze - Stainless steel series optical sensors for packaging and filling linesRead moreExtreme cleaning in meat and fish processing, at breweries and other filling plants; basically anywhere where hygiene is a major part of a (packaging) process, yet still reliable detection with optical sensors? That's nothing new for Leuze.

Leuze - LiDAR-technologyRead moreThe ROD100 can detect objects in a two-dimensional plane using a very compact, built-in plane scanner. This switching sensor is part of a complete family of LiDAR sensors. It recognises one or more objects at distances of up to 25 metres and is also ideal for use as collision protection, for example on overhead cranes. It makes no difference to the sensor whether it is used at the top of a warm factory hall or in a deep-freeze environment.

Plukon - Scanning for the futureRead moreThe Plukon poultry slaughterhouse in Blokker has installations from all kinds of machine builders and suppliers. Each of these has its own control system and associated components from different brands. This situation has developed over time, with the result that Plukon lost track of the overall picture. When it became clear that many components were now obsolete, the company decided to have itsme carry out a FactoryScan. ‘This gives us more peace of mind and helps us to better plan the replacement of components for the future.’

Silmaco - Site assessmentRead moreKemira Rotterdam produces hydrogen peroxide in various grades at its Europoort site for applications such as water purification, cleaning beverage packaging and bleaching paper. As is customary in the process industry, the installation was lit 24/7 for safety reasons. Kemira felt that there was a smarter way to do this. That is why the company contacted itsme Lighting Technology. ‘In addition to saving energy, we are now also saving on maintenance.’
